Kelly – Dental Hygienist

Hi! My name is Kelly, and I am a registered dental hygienist. I am from Illinois. I received my hygiene degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. My job is to help you keep your teeth and mouth as healthy as possible. It is fun to meet new people, and help them understand how they can keep their teeth for a lifetime. Removing tartar, stain, and plaque on a regular basis is part of the plan. Along with proper home care and some coaching, everybody can have a healthy, comfortable smile. There are a tremendous selection of brushes, picks, pastes, rinses floss, etc. on the market today. I will help you determine what will work best for you.

Whitney

Whitney – Dental Hygienist

My name is Whitney and I am a registered dental hygienist. I am originally from Columbia, and I graduated from State Fair Community College with a dental hygiene degree. When you come and visit me I will remove tartar, stain, and plaque from your teeth. Your teeth will feel smooth and polished, but not painful. Your comfort is very important. Part of the regular exam we do in our office includes an evaluation for periodontal disease, tooth decay, and oral cancer. I will evaluate your home-care and give you advice on how to improve if needed. Please ask me any questions you may have about your oral health.

Martha

Martha – Dental Assistant

My name is Martha. I am one of two full time assistants in this office. I have been a dental assistant for about 20 years. I enjoy working with Dr. Murphy and Dr. Powell, and helping them make our patients’ visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Like Dr. Murphy, Dr. Powell, and the rest of the staff, I receive a lot of continuing education training. The classes are interesting, and fun. They help keep me motivated to provide the best possible care for our patients. I was one of the first assistants in Missouri to be certified as a dental assistant with expanded function training. During your visit, please feel free to ask me any questions about your treatment.

Leah

Leah – Dental Assistant

Hi, my name is Leah, and I have worked in this dental office for over 15 years. Many years ago I started as a dental assistant, and I eventually moved to the front desk as the receptionist. A few years ago, I decided to work as a dental assistant again. Since that time I have become certified as an expanded functions dental assistant which allows me to be more involved in the care of our patients. I always have time to answer any questions you may have, so please ask!
