Pediatric Care

It is extremely important to care for baby teeth as well as permanent teeth. Baby teeth are important because they allow the child to properly chew food, and they also help with correct speech development and affect facial appearance. Baby teeth also guide permanent teeth into place as they are erupting, helping to hopefully prevent future orthodontic issues.

Our practice enjoys treating children as well as adults. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that all children see a dentist around the time of the eruption of the first baby tooth or by age 1, whichever comes first. At this visit we will evaluate your child and discuss with you on how to care for your child’s mouth so they will have a healthy mouth for a lifetime. After this first visit it is important to bring your child for a check-up every six months.
